Is the issue HKIA related where once one has entered the departures level (to access the lounges) one can't exit/re-enter? Or is a CX lounge issue where there are maximum length of stay /earliest entrance/can't re-enter limits?
Departure and arrival are segregated in HKG (so the former issue, not the latter), unlike SIN I think. You arrive HKG at the arrival level. Transit pax would typically go through security to go to the departure level, while arriving pax would go to immigration from the arrival level directly. Before the pandemic, it used to be possible to ask the CX lounge to get a staff member to escort you from the lounge back to arrival level. I did it once, and it was a long wait. I don't know if this is still possible post-pandemic.

You will get boarding pass for the connecting flight and bag will be through-checked.
