As a kid (30 years ago ); whenever we visited SIN, I was always brought to eat at this "Yong Tau Foo" stall in Newton that operated under a tree.

This stall was later part of the existing "Newton Hawker Centre" and was very popular amongst Singaporeans, with long queues on Sunday mornings. It suddenly "vanished" from the "Newton Hawker Centre" about 15 years ago, and I have no idea whether they had closed for good or are still operating elsewhere.

Each time I visit SIN and eat at the "Newton Hawker Centre", I cant help but keep a lookout for this stall, as if it will reappear again

Any FT member from SIN who is "old" enough to remember this "Yong Tau Foo" stall ??
