Thanks OP for the question as I was also planning to do the same for my long transit.
Is the issue HKIA related where once one has entered the departures level (to access the lounges) one can't exit/re-enter? Or is a CX lounge issue where there are maximum length of stay /earliest entrance/can't re-enter limits?
