Funny to read conjecture about expanding J on the 788 when those conversions to Polaris reduced J seats on board
The 788 went from 36J to 28J because of the Polaris footprint did not allow the same number of seats in the same amount of space. Hence the reduction.
The current projection about expanded J on the 788 is based on the new 100+ 787 order and that these planes will replace the 767 in the future. Given that 767s have a higher J count than current 788, it would make sense that future 788 have a larger J cabin as well.
I expect that there will be at least 2 different 788 configs and also probably 2 different 781 configs if they have improved range.
