I've stayed at IC San Diego, Los Angeles, Barcelona and Madrid, the lounges are fairly empty and not overcrowded at all. It is Janurary.

I might have got the lounge without the pass at Barcelona and Madrid because they never asked to see the pass but gave me a club room both times. I'm a Diamond Ambassador and I booked the cheap room.
