Just my speculation but maybe the fact that you are already titanium for multiple years is why you weren’t targeted for a promo. They target those promos to entice people to spend, but seems like you need any enticements since you are already spending.
I’m also fed up with Bonvoy as well. I’m 2 years away from hitting lifetime platinum. Once I hit that I’m switching to Hilton. Their promotions are so much better.
Welcome to FT! Since you’re new to FT, you haven’t seen many of the posts about how Marriott decides who gets targeted promos. The answer is nobody knows, but it doesn’t have anything to do with status or past stays, or future reservations (or lack of). I am LT Titanium with over 1500 nights. I requalify for Tit every year. I get at least one targeted promo per year. I just got one in Dec (double pts until Feb 28 that include a weekend night). When I received the promo, I had 24 upcoming reservations for the promo period in my account, some that include weekends, some that don’t. I have changed nothing as my schedule is fairly set. Why was I targeted? Who knows? Maybe the monkey that throws darts at the dartboard.
Also, this is a global promo and not targeted. Based on the number of posts on FT, there is a significant number of people who can’t register for these global promos strictly because Marriott’s IT is junk. This has been going on for years and has not been fixed. It varies on who is blocked from registering. I had to call in for the last promo and one other time a couple of years ago.
Marriott IT keeps things interesting.
