Just stumbled on this thread because it was briefly on the FT main page. Agree it should be locked for being completely absurd...

The OP was simply saying that CO doesn't have a very good variety of music, and then everyone has to go and make it an issue of American censorship. What the hell?! Apparently everyone is so blinded by the nonsense that's been plastered across the media lately that they can't even have a discussion about music.

Most airlines with the 12-channel system have a terrible music selection, usually limited to classical, some form of jazz, and rap or hip-hop or whatever. On Delta they like to share channels... the odd time there actually is a classic rock playlist, it alternates on the same channel as Finnish Folk music or Anne Murray .

The music may have an off switch, but if it's there as an amenity on public transportation, it should at least have a variety of choices.


As for censorship, I'll be brief, but there's nudity on German network TV all the time and I don't see their sky falling . We've just become this country that's gradually sinking into its own bubble of conservative isolationism.
