Some may see it as wasteful when I could have used upgrade certs. However, I wanted to be absolutely sure that we were in the front.
Is it worth it? To me yes. I get to give my mom a taste of intl F without redeeming/spending a boatload of miles/dollars for a F seat, and watch her surprise as she takes her suite seat.
We flew on the DFW-LAX 777 (econ ticket, but in Biz seats). Was funny to see all the people in that section commenting on the seats, and taking pictures. I guess I've just gotten jaded, I had hoped for the upgrade to FC!
