For AmEx Platinum, the app, clearly shows that access is only from 5 am to 11 am (except on Wednesday when it shows 5 am to 1 am). What that would indicate is that if you try to access with the Platinum card in the evening, they are well within their rights to deny you access. However with C1 VX, there is no timing restriction mentioned, however there is a standard disclaimer that access to lounge i subject to capacity controls. So I guess what it boils down to is that in the evenings, if they have a lot of VS travelers (given the 3 evening flights), they will most likely deny access. However if its on a day when the VS elite traffic is less, do they still allow you to access the lounge or are they doing a "blanket" - we don't allow in the evening policy.
Correct and well said. The lounge is also used by SQ suites and SQ PPS members and they have 2 late evening flights and 1 is a A380 which increases the crowding. Also adding it is a C1 Venture X and Venture card benefit. The difference is Venture only has 2 visits per year combined for C1 lounges and Plaza Premium lounges. I would much rather use this than the priority pass options but am gun shy if C1 card holders will be allowed.
