I would keep my Diamond expectations low at this property beyond the bare minimum. They flat out and quite bluntly refused any late checkout to me for a Monday, in mid January, checkout (I eventually persuaded them to give me a 12pm checkout). The staff here seem pretty miserable which suggests poor management.
I would not stay again. The bar is nice though.
Its sad to hear the former GM was a prince of a fellow from the former Mandarin Oriental. Now we have a poor renovation, sky rocketing prices and a complete lack of elite recognition courtesy.
I'm well aware that a fair number of the team escaped the sinking ship and went onto other hotels much like their guests as I've seen them at other area luxury hotels and heard their grief with current management
Its a beautiful facility and once was my favorite property ever in Las Vegas as short lived as it was.
I might go back in the right situation but would expect disappointment. The fitness center too is terribly out of date.100 dollar a night hotels and up have better gyms
Their breakfast @ Zen is still quite good
