A couple of quick questions about LHR/SYD in J on either BA or QF.
Our corporate deal allows BA flights in J at a cost that is fairly good for me to pay the difference from W to J (esp. as my trip back downunder is for 3 days!). (also gets me the SCs I need for another year of QF WP). (ignore all the grumbles I have about why they do noy pay J anyway!

).
To cut a long story short we can only fly BA flight numbers, so either QF or BA flights, but under BA numbers only (the price for QF is too prohibitive).
1. I guess that you can only use QF FF/SCs to upgrade if booked on QF metal on QF flight numbers not BA? (I also guess you can still on ODU domestic flights?).
2. From a QF/Australian perspective what is the view of QF vs BA. I have flown on Skybeds and do not find the slope too bad for a 6.1 foot person. But how does BA and QF compare on important aspects such as wine, food and films? (in that order!). Think I will probably do the BA option for SIN/LHR overnight as that is where sleep may beat service.
3. What do people think of the QF32 daytime flight that arrives at 7pm into SYD. From my perspective I think I would rather catch flights that involve eating then sleeping (after a few wibbly wobblies) and arrive into the beginning of the day in February rather than trying to force my body to sleep upon arrival?
Yep I know I could try BA one way and QF the other, but now that QF has skybeds it makes the choice a little more difficult as I really liked skybeds to/from HKG - especially if you can snag one in the first row. :-)
Also I imagine that my op up chances as a WP are better on QF, but in all reality even if there was an op up opportunity I would be beaten by either a CL or Mr Aardvark.
Insight from people who make this run would be appreciated.
