They will become available again in 30 minutes, at which time you will be able to proceed with another transaction."

I have tried through AC for business and regular AC site and get the same issue. To compound things further, it extended for another 30 minutes as I made an error in attempting the return booking now two errors (keep forgetting to make it for 2 passengers as it resets every time)

I have never had this issue before and have always been able to book the return immediately. Is this a new "feature" or "enhancement"? Bad enough that they have cancelled non-stops from YYC to PHX and LAX but to have to put up with this makes me want to run away from AC!
That "feature" has existed forever basically.

When you initialize a booking (I think that's when you select a specific itinerary), it holds the credits for 30 minutes. If you don't actually complete the booking, you need to properly "cancel" the search. This is a lot easier on web than in the app.

This tends to only be an issue when you're getting low on credits. If you have a 10 credit pass with 0 used, it doesn't matter if a bunch are held. If you're trying to use up the last credit, then you can't start a new booking process if the credit is currently being held.
