On EWR-SFO dinner flight the other day and only meal choice was “chicken” so the FA going around was asking more the question of would you like dinner or no dinner.
The chicken turned out to be the mini chicken breast, polenta puck, broccolini and brown sauce which has been served for the past few years. Came with the usual sad salad, room temperature roll and mini cheesecake. Towards the end of the flight the small plates of hummus or meat/cheese were offered.
So much for things improving in 2023
If catering continues to be this way, once UA shifts all the Polaris planes to international routes and go back to the mix of 752 and 777 HD, it will be a no brainer to switch to AA/DL/B6.
