Not really sure how to be nice about this but your complaints seem to be a mix of asking them to bend the rules (not exactly something German properties are famous for) and stuff that is fairly trivial. I can't help but think of the famous Herb Kelleher "We will miss you" story...seems a little much to be advocating that people skip the property wholesale.

It's a very nice hard product in a great location and the price often is right. A couple years ago I was there for like EUR 175 / night over the holidays.
