I mostly fly BA and UA and I find their digital experiences to be in different centuries. Whether it’s at the booking stage with inventory checks, complicated itineraries or seat maps, at the check in stage with a slick and easy interface, at the upgrade stage, at the change flight stage (huge list of options with pricing, at the pre-flight stage or at the inbound flight tracking stage, UA’s app is super-functional while BA’s barely works, and often doesn’t. Even in-flight it’s fully functional for all, so you can change your flights, handle upgrades etc mid-Atlantic.
It’s a large part of the reason I prefer flying UA.
