Correct, screening at the gate. I generally leave the lounge when the flight is boarding as I would anywhere. You''ll have ample time.
Lounge wise I've only been to QF and BA, and QF has better food. Not been to the QR lounge, but if it's as good as the other QR lounges, you won't go wrong. I've managed to shower in the BA lounge, then switch to the QF lounge for food, but no dilly-dallying about. Get off the flight and haul arse to the lounge and you'll have time. Strolling is to be avoided!
