Yes it is a good deal, since 30,000 are worth at the very least 300$ (could be way more if you convert in miles). However if you already had a Cobalt you may be not eligible. Check the fine print.
Also the cobalt is probably the only card I would not cancelled. The earning ratio for groceries/restaurant is incredible. It more than make for the monthly fee.
