You have to return to your original destination or at least the origin Country to complete the award. Thats why it gives an error.

"If the departure point and the final return point are not the same, they must still be within the same country.

  • Hong Kong, Macau, and China are considered to be separate countries for award ticket itinerary purposes.
  • With the exception of itineraries which are solely within Scandinavia, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden are considered to be the same country for award ticket itinerary purposes.
  • The United States and Canada are considered to be the same country for award ticket itinerary purposes.
  • With the exception of itineraries which are solely within Europe, all of Europe is considered to be the same country for award ticket itinerary purposes. However, this excludes some areas of Russia east of the Ural Mountains."
