Taking my passport out I found I had ceased the bio page about a quarter of the way up and at an angle so there must have been plenty of information that was not visible on the scan. Quite often the scanners tell me to try again, but not this time!
The machine scans the chip inside the passport which contains the data, it doesn't operate like an OCR, scan the page and try and convert the data! 😁
It then compares it to the information it has online, then you look at the camera and it comes your photo with the data in the passport.
