My experience is pretty much like this.....


The people who are jealous/envious have never travelled regularly on business. The people who are nice about it are the people who HAVE done it, and sympathise with you.

As others point out, regular, conistent travel is a grind. Doesn't matter if you fly First Class and stay at the Four Seasons all the time. It's still a grind. Constantly having to pack, unpack, get ready for trips, schedule activites at home around trips, etc. gets old really fast.

It was 75 in Los Angeles today. I think maybe 50 back home in Dallas. I have a decent suite in a decent hotel. Lots of sushi last night for dinner too. But I dragged my butt out of bed really early Monday to catch a very, very full 7:00 AM flight. Then, I worked the entire day. Thursday, I leave L.A. at 6:30 PM (*IF* the flight is on time). I'll get home at about midnight. Then, go to work on Firday morning. It's not all roses.
