So I had my second ever La Premiere experience and again on upgraded J ticket to P from CDG to MEX.
This time I had the pleasure of being in LP lounge instead of covid lounge upstairs in J lounge.

The whole experience was different and to better but there are still things that make me wonder if this is really the top product.

We started in BCN where check in lady noticed we are LP pax. We were first on board walked by her and introduced to the crew. Opened bins for us for our bags.
Upon landing in CDG we were assured there will be someone to pick us up. Very professional driver, I believe Johan was his name took us to LP lounge.

My spa treatment confirmed via email was nice touch. I really did not like the service provided from "waiters". It was cold and felt like they did not want to be there. The wine list with Jeeper BdB is not up especially who else should have the best French staff stocked.

I wanted to buy baseball cap for my friend with AF sign and was given it as a gift. This staff were really nice and charming but you don't get in much contact with them.
Drive to the plane was with Johan again, same BMW but not really clean car now with used tissue between bottles of water, jet bridge only for us, standard procedure.

On board really nice Ramon taking care of us. Wine list is rather poor. What I do not get is that only 2 bottles of champagne for whole LP are stocked. It was the same on my last flight so basically after welcome drink only one bottle left. If the other two pax were drinking, there wouldn't be much. Tried Chablis and it was nice wine. The food was good, quality over J but nothing to write home about. Pre arrival snack not stocked so we were offered J snack or something from the lunch menu which I think was a win but chicken breast was just fine, nothing impressive.

On arrival we walked out of L2 first, very protected by the crew that did not let anyone from J in front of us and nice guy walked us to immigration. Really no need as we had to be in regular line anyway (no skipping) and it took around 20 minutes. We just wanted to be pointed out to taxi stand in which case they asked which hotel we stay at and offered a complimentary car for us. I thought it was fantastic gesture and even if it meant waiting quite a few minutes I still think it was well played.

I do have another 2 LP flights next month so let's see if the wine list gets improved (wish) and there will be more bottles on the flights. The experience on the ground is really private which I loved but the staff in LP lounge was not really first class, apart from nicely dressed. Whilst I think the product is nice, I am still impressed more by e.g. Japanese airlines for their wine list (and also the Japanese menu). Was it nice day? Sure it was but nothing outstanding.
