Completed a stay last week here as a Globalist. I still don't understand how the Thompson brand fits within the Hyatt portfolio. A few quick observations regarding my stay. I'll edit this post if I think of anything else to add.

• I felt like I was entering a cult or a hospital based on the look of employee uniforms.
• No upgrade as the available suites were sold out. I think there is still renovation going on so the number of available suites is fairly limited. Received an upgrade to "King City View" and these rooms are TINY. Don't expect a closet.
• Arrived around noon and was given a room which I appreciated.
• Rooftop is great for sunset. Don't know why the pool was placed on the other end of the roof where there is no sunset view.
• Elevators need some fixing as they don't register people entering so they don't close
• Breakfast was good. Could pretty much order whatever you want within reason. For example, I asked for avocado toast even though its not on the menu.
• Turndown service seems to be everyday.
• Mini bar is not complimentary
• If you're in a pinch and want bottled water head to the gym as they have plenty available
• The shower soap, shampoo and conditioner are refillable.
• The dental kit includes Marvis toothpaste which was interesting as I'm used to seeing Colgate or some other big American brand.
• The rooms are equipped with bedside USB-A and USB-C ports which is really nice.
• Hotel location is excellent as you're an easy 10-20mins walk from all the major sites.
• Complimentary Globalist welcome arrival was a bunch of small chocolates, nothing more.
• The new piano/live music bar has opened up in the basement and it is a nice space for pre-dinner or late night drinks. Currently it is only open Thurs-Sat. Do NOT EXPECT to receive any WOH points (unless of course if you pay with WOH CC) even though there is signing privilege.
