Other than BA, AA's only true TATL partners are Finnair and Iberia, both of which serve only a very limited number of cities in the US. Figure out what routes they serve then search those individually as well as from your home city, as noted above.

That, and business class awards at the sAAVer level are very hard to come by in general, so you're not doing anything wrong per se but rather space just isn't available. Not surprising at all.

And ExpertFlyer won't really help at this stage.
