Ritz-Carlton Kyoto has the same company behind them as W and St Regis Osaka. Though I have never had any issues with check in for any of the properties. Nor a request to verify my corporate ID. The place I was chased to the end of the world for my corporate ID was at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo many years ago. Think ended up having to show it down at reception once, and in the Grand Club twice before they stopped asking.

I sometimes get a "You are here from "Acme" Corporation?" when using our corporate rates either for business or private, I just brush it off with a quick affirmative statement. Though all of our rates does actually say that the traveller must show corporate ID, it is really rare to get anything more than a quick verbal confirmation. I don't think St Regis or W in Osaka ever even did that much.
