I've been spending more time here than any other Hyatt property, half by choice. I don't choose to be in KL (though I don't dislike it either) but when I am in KL I always choose the GH. During my early-January stay, everything was open and functioning as it had been 3, 4. 5, 6 years ago. The Grand Club was open at breakfast, evening service and throughout the day for snacks. There were always vegetarian food options, something I don't insist upon but appreciate. Hot evening food seemed to be on a one-week rotation. Children were mostly sequestered in an adjacent room, if the room was available. Crowds were easily manageable. Service was perfect.
I still love the location, near Bukit Bintang, an overrun shopping district, but separated and connected to Bukit Bintang, the convention center, two shopping centers and, best of all, a park/jogging track by covered walkways. The metro is a bit distant.
The fitness center is 24 hours, clean.and adequate. Elsewhere, the hotel was clean and functional.
