ALL the IHG points from all cards, SUB and spend, including the recent personal and biz cards, have gone to the same IHG account, the account number I typed during the application process. Same for Hyatt personal and biz cards, same for multiple United personal and biz cards.
Ok, my comment on not being able to combine IHG points from personal IHG card account and the IHG biz card account was from an IHG representative today, which I believe is incorrect based on your comment. I have not applied yet for the IHG business card.
Chase will automatically generate new IHG account in an application process unless you enter a previous known account number, I Understand how you got it combined.
I got personal IHG card Nov 22', and planned to get IHG biz card in Jun 23' (keep this open only one year) since no impact on credit score to cancel. Keeping my personal IHG card active. combing all points, keeps points from expiring. Then one year later reapply Jun 25' for a IHG biz card to get the SUB a 2nd time meeting the 24 month wait period between SUBs.
I this your strategy or are your keeping all cards active long term?
