I honestly think just Mountains and good food don’t go along together, we stayed in Beaver Creek not too long ago and absolutely no good food at all. We tried several places close and several places further into the town close by all were terrible.
Bandits BBQ in SLC/Cottonwood Heights is amazing, and I believe R&R or RC BBQ both are really great we go to both when heading up.
But I’ll definitely try one of your suggestions. We like high quality, and reasonably priced which may not fit in well, Average $15-$25 per person for a regular meal, not a special occasion.
All of those spots recommended above are fairly expensive, Dos Olas is probably the least expensive of the bunch. The restaurants I mentioned in town are hard to get a reservation at, you need to plan well in advance to get one.
I live in NYC which is one of the food capitals of the country. Aspen, Park City, and Vail to a certain extent can hold their own food wise, you haven't tried the right places yet I guess! Agree in regards to Beaver Creek, nothing really jumps out there restaurant wise other than Beano's Cabin which is super expensive and a special occasion type place.
