Just throwing out an experience out there, several years ago three Florida to ISP bound WN planes, close to initial approach, were diverted to BWI because of inoperative runway lights at ISP (all scheduled to land after 10pm).

3 plane loads including Disney families, spent the night at the A gates under the very empty food court at BWI so the flights could continue onward at 6am sharp. (I bounced to a hotel and a later flight).

Announcements were made that no luggage would be offloaded and no refunds given to those getting home via other means.

A few days later I received a $85 voucher "for the less than hospitable welcome" we all received at BWI. Wasn't expecting or thinking anything being out of their control like the weather.

They can be generous with the points & funny money. Do try!
