Interesting because that's not what the customer service rep said. I guess this is a good tradeoff for expiring in 7 years vs 10. However, it does mean I have to buy a new card. I'm guessing if there is still a balance, I'll have to find a way to transfer old balance to a new card in 7 years?
So do you have the old card or the new card then?
I have a few dormant old cards that i have yet to reclaim the money from and i have a new card that's waiting for me in Msia.
I'm sure you can transfer the money around once its expired, its just that i haven't been bothered to do it since the service center is in KL Sentral and i typically have no reason to go there (it's a only a couple of ringgit left on each card i think).
