I have 150k Hyatt points and 415k Chase UR, so spending 70k Hyatt points for 2 nights is not a huge deal.
Sorry for a bit off topic question: my first time going to Maldives and it's a long flight. Not sure if I'll get bored after 5 nights and not appreciate the Park Hyatt.
The Park Hyatt is much farther away from Male and is accessed by taking a domestic flight (not a seaplane) to a smaller airport and then taking a boat from that airport to the PH.
You would have to fly back from the Conrad to Male via seaplane and then make the transfer to the PH, spending the better part of a day making the transfer. You could charter a yacht, but that would take even longer. It would also be cost-prohibitive for most points and miles people.
All that said, I would do it. I think I would probably stay at the PH first and then transfer to the Conrad. The PH is smaller and doesn't have as many activities and dining venues available.
Our longest trip to the Conrad was two weeks long, and we were never bored. Would have stayed longer if we had the points.
