Wife and I tried Aldebaran today. Walked in around 1 and didn’t have to wait too long to be seated. “Expanded” menu still a bit limited and adjustments are met with an absurd level of - how should I say - pretentious surprise lol? 😆 The lady just couldn’t get her head wrapped around adding avocado to a preexisting burger - reminded me of Freshness Burger many many years ago where I could order a cheeseburger, an avocado burger, but not an avocado cheeseburger).

anyway, wife went with the recommended teriyaki egg burger, and despite her thinking she had finally gotten the woman to do a normalcheese with added avocado for me (they got to talking way too fast for me to keep up), what arrived was a custom concoction with avo, bbq sauce, and egg. Delicious nonetheless - both of them - but not life changing. Good ingredients for the most part but I didn’t find the meat seasoned all that well. Fries are quite good (the thinner ones, didn’t care for the wedges).

will definitely go give it another try when they cycle the menu but the pretentiousness is a bit much. Definitely still going with Authentic as the “one burger shop for the rest of your life” option but wish I could pair it with today’s fries!
