A series of acronyms have evolved on the Internet over the course of decades, starting with the tech support acronym RTFM meaning that the answer can be obtained by Read(ing) The Fine Manual, then as discussions moved to online forums like Facebook/reddit, sometimes an article gets posted where someone then asks a question in the comments thread that is answered in the linked article, and could be told to RTFA for the answer; or someone might post a excerpt in order to start a followup discussion, and will preface the copied text with FTFA to indicate that they are quoting From The article.
So I just meant that I was sourcing my info From The Fantastic Wiki that we have here. Nowadays many people might omit the 2nd F to indicate less enthusiasm for the manual/article/wiki, but old habits die hard.
If you're going to use the credit within the year, there's no real need to buy a refundable ticket, changing a far-off nonrefundable but unflown ticket is exactly equivalent to using an eCredit from a prior cancellation.
Ah, so it is an inflammatory acronym, I didn't realize you were trying to be mean. I guess I have never seen that out of you before,
Things are always changing, I have always been told to buy refundable. I do always use the tickets, but not always on the dates chosen. In order to use all ben-es I buy what I can predict and put the others at the end of the year. This time, I needed different flights and they would not let me change. I know, it is supposed to happen, but there was apparently an alignment of the stars that prevented that. So it was cancel and rebook, with the credit being held for seven days. Then we have this and to finish with a friendly acronym, YMMV
