£2030 return (plus the hotels and car rental) for 1520 TPs, as I managed to get the lady to book it all with BA flight numbers so it qualifies for the BAH offer.

Unfortunately for my Avios balance, some of the short haul sectors have been booked in I class, even though I could see that the fare should have been bookable in J class; the lady said she couldn't book those in J. I've been booked in a weird and wonderful assortment of R, I, D and in fact J for one of the transcon flights. But overall it looks like I'll get around 40,000 Avios, which isn't too shabby!
That is very good deal.
Was planning something similar but the better half said "No to such a convoluted trip". So had to compromise .
Booked DUB-LHR-JFK-LAX and return in May/June which came to £1480 per person (had to pay in Euros) and with a car for 7 days came to £3150 with BA holidays and all in business.
Obviously no double TP and only 640 TPs but the price was good and we had to be in California at that time of the year anyway and most importantly, the other half is happy-ish
Due to other trips, we will both hit Gold easily, so all good.
