They are much slimmer than the older ones. They are no-touch and as they are approached an image of the passenger appears on the large screen. After about three second it told me to proceed to the EXIT. At the EXIT the CBP chap with the iPad had my record on his screen and welcomed me home. Very impressive.
Had that, but wasn't asked if I had anything to declare.
My wife had to insert her passport, which then said enter, but the guys ipad didn't so she had to see an officer. Who asked if we had anything to declare and we we said candy.
She was already admitted as the machine said and so we carried on
