I use the 22 max lite and and a backpack. Have for a while. Used to have Timbuk2 messenger but found the Everki back pack to be very good for the laptop, cords, headphones, etc.
Had both for a few years. No issues.I saved the big expense for the check in bags (Briggs & Riley).
