Delta will nearly always offer the
least expensive valid solution based on the inventory, fares, and class of service desired. If you for some reason desire a
more expensive solution (in a higher fare class usually), that is something a travel agent (or a Delta agent) can do. As
xliioper notes, just because lower inventory is available does not mean a valid solution exists that books into it.
