You may want to take the area into consideration, unless you are not interested in Bali but only in the beach.
Nusa Dua is an endless row of western hotels. The area is kind of soulless which could be found anywhere in the world. There is nowhere interesting to go to by foot.
Seminayak has retained some personality and the area offers more for anyone interested in wandering around.
P.S. As a side note, I would like to stress that if the 5 adults are not all married, you should enjoy Indonesia while you can. In three years time, you will be at the mercy of anyone disapproving of you sharing a bed with someone local you are not married to. Penalty is 1 year in jail.
