One negative I have discovered is that the new card expires in 7 years compared to 10 years with the old card. The staff said I can reload the new card from my phone. I checked and it seems like I can only do that from an eWallet? Is there any way to reload with my credit card through the phone? Any other advantages to the new card for a foreigner? I just ordered myself the new touch and go card, although 7 years vs 10 years, the older version if you don't use it every year it goes dormant (i have some money stuck in a few different cards over the years, havent gone to reclaim it). The new one although with 7 years expiry, the account doesnt go dormant.
From what i understand you can either reload funds to it normally like the older version or u can do the e-wallet thing. It looks like you can reload via CC on the app e-wallet, see below from my screenshot from my phone. If you want to use Amex you'll have to do it over the counter at a supermarket chain called Jaya Grocer, i think they charge like rm2 for a rm200 reload or something.
