MHC means My Hyatt Concierge, so they talked directly to one of -- what should be -- one of the more knowledgeable people in Hyatt CS. Given how big of sticklers Japanese hotels can be about occupancy, I'd still ping the MHC and ensure they verified the reservation directly with the hotel due to this. The other approach would be to just show the MHC conversation to to hotel if there's any push back, which there probably won't be.
