Have you tried to proceed through to seat selection? When I tried that the “Economy Plus” legs allowed me to select seats in J - so I think it’s a website rather than ticketing error.

I have AMS-LHR-SFO, PHX-LHR-AMS booked with LHR-SFO in F and PHX-LHR in J. When booking the AMS-LHR leg (and reverse) both showed on the website as “Ecomomy Plus” but when I clicked past that to seat selection it allowed me to book 1A/F for both so actually J. The e-ticket now shows those legs as CE too.
