I definitely get comments from my non travelling colleagues. However pointing out to them the realtities of my travel normally sets them straight
  • Normally have to get up at 3am for my flight
  • travel out on the Sunday and back on the Saturday
  • I am expected to travel at very short notice
  • All travel is in Y
  • At best stay in a 3* hotel normally much worse and sometimes it is just a matress on the floor in the office
  • Work at least 16 hours a day
  • Meal limit is $20 and no alcohol allowed

If they still complain normally bring them back some duty free (as I don't smoke and never have the time to get through a bottle of booze) and that normally shuts them up
