I can't see UA dropping capacity to LAX. QF capacity into LAX (and the US as a whole) is still significantly lower than pre-pandemic, plus Virgin Australia is no longer flying to LAX (instead codesharing with UA). Based on the prices being charged, demand is far outstripping supply at the moment.
