It’s indefensible. Ultimately your choices are to get over it, stop staying in countries with such lax consumer protection (probably not realistic) or stay at hotels where you avoid the fee - either smaller independents or by moving to a chain like Hyatt where they seem to realise the fees are ...... and so they don’t charge their Globalists it.
