Are there any tricks for extending validity? Ive got one left that expires 1/31/23. I need it for a flight on April 28th. If I booked a flight today that had the inventory, had the ticket reissued so the certificate is closed, could I call say in 1 week and ask to change the ticket to a flight in April that also has immediate space clearance? Im assuming others have tried this and Im SOL but wanted to check.
Does the flight you want have upgrade availability now? If so, it’s worth a try, some have been able to get them applied to post expiry travel (though more often successful if it’s just a few weeks after expiry). Planning to try to change things up later somehow seems less likely to work.
