Thanks, everyone for your suggestions! I have decided to keep my original itinerary and chance the 1 hour 10 minute connection. If the lines are long I will try to show an agent that my connection is very tight. There are two other flights leaving later that same day. One is AF and the other is DL. I am hoping in that case that I can get standby for biz class due to my Diamond status and my paid J class ticket.
