I appear to have the choice of redeeming my virgin miles on KLM or Air France from Singapore to London (via AMS or CDG) next January. Both require the same amount of miles, both seem to be a 777-300. So the question is - which is the better product and why?

AF better seat, better drinks but CDG just a hate-mission and you will need to go through security as they don't separate Shengen/Non Shengen.
KLM for nicer folks (my recent AF flight the folks were v-good tho) and much nicer tranx experience. Food OK.
For the length of flight, I would go for the nicer seat/food. Brace yourself for the CDG experience and their hidden premium security lines and simple lack of personal space awareness.
