No, some extra PQP deposited this year doesn't count as doing something.

And before you say 1Ks being extended don't get new PPs, consider that they already have PPs extended through July 31. So that means that requalifying 1Ks will only have an advantage in the second five months of the year. Yay.
I agree that the extension of benefits to those who didn't qualify is a slap to those that did make it through actual flying especially flying and qualifying through Covid years. I flew 36 times in 2020 and qualified for 1K and flew 70 times last year. Some who never flew get extended? If UA is going to throw some bones they should make sure that there is some for everyone.
