Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? We booked the cheapest and that it what we got. Received joke upgrade to same room, higher floor with a Canary Wharf view.

How are the rooms? Fine, comfortable bed, desk, armchair. Nespresso machine with a selection of generic capsules. Separate bath and rainfall shower. Byredo amenities.

How is the exec. lounge? Free of charge with the two year lounge pass. Yippee! We stayed for one night and squeezed in two afternoon teas, breakfast and happy hour. The canapés were tasty. Hot were mini cheeseburgers, spring rolls and prawn tempura. Cold were chicken wraps, tuna mousse, veggie quiche and houmous. We didn’t see too many other guests using the lounge.

What was good and what was bad? Good - pool and spa were quiet. We received two welcome amenities, 600 points plus a drinks voucher. We chose a champagne cocktail, a beer and a red bull with the voucher. I bought a glass of wine at lunchtime on departure day to use up the £15 Ambassador credit. This was £12.50 and the extra £2.50 was used to reduce the room cost. There was a bottle of Tia Maria out with the spirits during happy hour so I made Expresso Martinis. Stirred not shaken. Staff are friendly, we were welcomed back to the lounge following recognition from a previous visit. Nothing bad.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Sure would, the two year free lounge pass makes a cheap rate here an absolute steal.
