Harrowing. Sounds like the rolling Delta 737 got within 1,000 feet of hitting the AA 777 that seems to have improperly crossed. Both planes took action - Delta rejecting takeoff and AA accelerating the hell off the runway to the point FAs thought they were taking off.

Delta 1943 subsequently delayed 15 hours.
