Hello a part of the skyelite perks I would reconsider the trip. If you are heading to Rome Fiumicino by train you will have to change at train station of Rome Termini ( no direct train to Fiumicino airport). From Nap to CTA you have Easyjet direct flight lasting 50minutes...in summer also other low cost do the trip. Even if its low cost I am sûre that 50 minutes trip are less complicated than heading nord to Rome by train (1hours) + taking the train to Fiumicino ( 40 minutes ) then getting south to Sicily from Nap.
I would not take into option the night train from Naples to Catania... the opérations to board the train into the ferry are quite long...but if you never did it it could be an expérience...
If price its not an issue and you still want to fly skyteam then I suggest you a NAP FCO CTA or NAP LIN CTA all operates by ITA.
you will travel stress free and you luggage will be taken end to end in charge by ITA.
